Our Impact & Transparency
As a 501(c)(3) public charity, we are committed to transparency. Every dollar you give goes directly to clothing and resources for children in need.
How we measure impact
How funds are allocated
Based on our most recent fiscal year. Our lean structure means nearly every dollar goes to programs.
Founder Lisa Ray takes no salary. Of 3 staff members, average compensation is approximately $61,700 per year. No professional fundraising fees are paid - every dollar raised comes from community volunteers and direct donations.
Sources of support
Individual Donors
The majority of our funding comes from individuals in San Luis Obispo County and beyond who believe every child deserves dignity. One-time gifts, monthly donors, and legacy contributions all fuel our work.
In-Kind Donations
Clothing, school supplies, books, and diapers donated by the community form the backbone of our programs. Donation bins at Albertsons and school sites across the county collect thousands of items each month.
Corporate & Foundation Grants
Home Depot, PG&E, and local community foundations have provided grants and in-kind support for the Traveling Closet and other expansion efforts. We welcome new partnerships.
